1. Overview & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between HomeForward India Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"), operating under the brand name Lume Living Co., and its clients (hereinafter referred to as the "Client", "Customer", or "you").

Lume Living Co. is the architecture and interior design division of the Company, offering residential and commercial architectural design, interior design, renovation, space planning, project management, and turnkey execution services.

By engaging our services, approving a proposal, making a payment, or accessing our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Price and Payment Terms

General Payment Conditions:

  • Work shall commence only after receipt of the applicable advance payment.
  • Delayed payments may result in suspension of design, procurement, manufacturing, or site execution until outstanding dues are cleared.
  • All statutory taxes shall be applicable as per prevailing laws.
  • Any third-party services, statutory approvals, or government fees, unless specifically included in the quotation, shall be borne by the Client.
  • Lume Living Co. reserves the right to revise project costs where there are significant changes in scope, material specifications, or market prices beyond our reasonable control.
  • To ensure transparency, security, and seamless financial transactions, we kindly inform our clients that we do not accept cash payments under any circumstances. All payments must be made exclusively through approved digital payment methods, including bank transfers, UPI, credit/debit cards, or other authorized electronic payment channels. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy.

3. Interior Project Pricing & Installments

  1. The exact price of the Customer project will depend on measurements, scope of work and change in designs / material / finishes. Based on these revisions, Customers can expect the quote value to rise or drop by approximately 5-10%. However, in case of change / customization / additional scope of work, the prices may substantially increase or decrease from the initial quote value.
  2. Based on Customer's initial discussion with the design team, Customer shall make an initial payment of 10% of quote value for booking the order with Lume Living Co., subject to terms and conditions mentioned herein, if applicable. Quotations released before First Installment payment shall be valid for two (2) months and quotations released after First Installment payment shall be valid for a period of five (5) months.
  3. The Price structure shall have the following Installments, as per the applicable scenario:
    1. First Installment: 10% of the total quote value paid at the time of order booking.
    2. Second Installment: 10% of the total quote value, which is payable after the material selection. The Customer order shall move to the site masking and design finalization stage only after payment of the Second Installment.
    3. Third Installment: 75% of the quote value is payable at the time of signing of the Works Contract. The Customer order shall move to the production stage only after payment of the Third Installment.
    4. Fourth/Final Installment: Remaining 5% of the quote value, is payable after the installation but pre deep cleaning and handover.

4. Site Measurement Fee (Interiors & Renovation Projects)

A site measurement fee of ₹2,000 is applicable for all interior design and renovation projects located within a 15 km radius of Indiranagar, Bengaluru – 560038.

For project locations beyond this radius, the applicable site measurement fee will be communicated to the Client based on the project's location.

The site measurement fee is non-refundable. Upon completion of the site visit, the measured drawings and dimensions will be shared with the Client, irrespective of whether they choose to proceed with Lume Living Co. for the project.

5. Cancellation Policy

Our primary goal is to ensure the successful completion of every order. However, as we rely on various stakeholders including manufacturers, raw material providers, accessory suppliers, there may be some instances where we need to make changes to our prices and material offerings. In these circumstances, we owe it to our customers to be fair and transparent, also allowing them to cancel their order if the situation demands. For all other instances, we would like to draw the Customer's attention to the table provided below:

6. Cleaning & Unloading Services

Cleaning Services: Post installation, the following set of services will be done at the site:

  • Dusting, sweeping and mopping of all areas.
  • Cleaning of doors of the cabinets to remove pencil marks and dust.
  • Cleaning the insides of wooden cabinets.
  • Deep cleaning with the use of mechanical equipment is out of scope.

Unloading Services: Any movement of materials by stairs above 2nd floor will attract the following additional charge/s:

  • A fixed unloading charge of Rs. 5,000 shall be charged for movement of material from 3rd floor and above where the service lift is unavailable.
  • An additional charge of Rs. 1,000 will be applicable for each floor movement of material from the 9th floor and above, where the service lift is unavailable.

7. Architectural and Construction Services

For architectural design, planning, and consultancy projects, payments shall be made progressively as follows:

  • 10% – Upon project confirmation.
  • 30% – Upon completion of concept design and preliminary planning.
  • 30% – Upon submission of detailed drawings and design development.
  • 25% – Upon submission of the final drawing set and project documentation.
  • 5% – Upon completion of the agreed design scope and final handover of all deliverables.

Construction expenses are project-specific and shall be customized based on the approved design, site conditions, structural requirements, material selections, finishes, labour costs, and overall scope of work. Any estimates provided are indicative and may be revised as the project progresses or if the approved scope changes.

8. Personal Data and Privacy Policy

The Customer explicitly grants authorization to Lume Living Co. for the collection, storage, retention, processing, and utilization of personal data, including contact information. The Company shall use the personal data of the Customer only for the legitimate use to provide the product and services to the Customer.

The Customer authorizes the Company to contact them through various channels such as phone, SMS, WhatsApp, and email. It is understood that such communication will exclusively pertain to the products or services provided, and the confidentiality of personal data, including contact information will be maintained. Lume Living Co. retains the right to photograph and publish the completed work.

Furthermore, the Customer allows the Company to share personal data, including contact information, with the vendors, franchisees and third-party suppliers, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The customer confirms that they have read and agreed that all the terms of the works contract are accurate to the best of their knowledge and align with their requests.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or in relation to this shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, India.
